Players and coaches were recently interviewed about their JV football season and what they feel they can improve on.
Ruben Molina, head coach of Jv football, was asked how he thinks he can help the team improve. He said “By starting on the field earlier.” When he says this he means playing more outside of the season because they could not get out on the field at certain times.
Molina was asked about how he can get his players into a state where they feel like winning comes easy or is natural to them. He said, “Winning isn’t natural because someone is always expecting the worst.” When he elaborated on this statement he explained that someone always feels like they are going to lose to a certain team or that someone is always better than someone else.
Molina then went on to talk about the future of JV football and that he feels like he and his players are ready to take the next step to win more football games. He stated “Absolutely, They will work harder next year.”
Aaron Navarro, Freshman Jv quarterback, was asked what he felt was the biggest takeaway of the season. He went on to say “My height and weight were different from everyone else.”
Mohamed Komara, Freshman Jv linebacker, also added his biggest takeaway of the season was he felt that he could “Make more tackles throughout the season.”
Navarro mentioned that “I want to get stronger before the next season” When asked on how he feels getting stronger would help he, stated that “he could throw farther.”
Kamara wanted to show how much he cared about the team, saying, “He could relate to almost anyone, and everyone had his back no matter what the situation was.”
Overall the football season next few years has many players who are ready to compete, learn new ways to get better, and win.
