Loki is a fantastic show that follows the mischievous Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston. The series explores what happens to Loki after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Loki finds himself in a mysterious organization called the TVA (Time Variance Authority) and gets caught up in time-traveling adventures. It’s full of twists, turns, and of course, Loki’s signature charm and wit. You are in for a wild ride with this series.
Season one of Loki was absolutely mind-blowing! In the series, we follow Loki as he gets caught up in a thrilling journey through time and space. He teams up with a variant of himself called Sylvie to uncover the secrets of the TVA and confront the mysterious villain behind it all. The show is filled with incredible action, clever storytelling, and some major surprises along the way.
In the second season, we find Loki working with Mobius M. Mobius, Hunter B-15, and other members of the Time Variance Authority (TVA) to navigate the multiverse in order to find Sylvie Ravonna Rensalyer and Miss Minutes. Although, the main goal of this season is to save time and the life of many timelines. I won’t spoil much, but trust, you won’t be able to take your eyes off the screen!
The General consensus among fans and critics is that the Loki series is fantastic! People are loving the blend of action, humor, and the intriguing storyline. Hiddleston’s portrayal of Loki continues to impress, and the addition of new characters like Sylvie has brought even more depth to the show. The Series has stunning visuals, the way it expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Overall it has received a lot of excitement among the viewers.
Esmeralda Luna, Senior at Independence highschool and Marvel fan, said the following. “I really enjoyed the show while it lasted, I do wish there were more episodes though.” Season two was not as long as fans expected it to be. This could be for many reasons. One of the reasons fans of the series speculate was Jonathan Majors problem.
If not familiar with Major’s situation, he was accused of Domestic-Violence by his ex-girlfriend, Meagan Good. Major was the main antagonist, Kang (He Who Remains), of the Loki series and for future Marvel movies. Due to these declarations, Disney could not risk their face, leading them to remove Major from all future Marvel projects for now.
Junior, Troy Edwards, believes Major’s situation did not affect the Loki series at all, nor will it affect future Marvel films. “I believe they will still use him, I just don’t know how the public will see that,” said Edwards. Luna had a similar feeling. She thinks Marvel needs to “Step up their game” before they lose more MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) fans.
Major’s problem did not stop the writers of Loki season two from being successful. Although it was short, it was a pretty good closing arc for the show and for the character according to fans. “Finally after all these years they finally explained what they meant with this glorious purpose (for Loki),” said Serenity Borunda.
Overall, the ending of Loki left fans to want more from the series. Unfortunately, Loki is most likekly not having a third season. In an interview, writer Eric Martin revealed Loki’s plot was only meant to be told over 2 seasons. There’s nothing else planned (for now). “We approach this as like two halves of a book,” said Martin.
Fans wait for the future series and movie to be as good as Loki. Future films like the Fantastic Four, Deadpool three, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, Daredevil: Born Again and more. Recently Marvel has been lacking in storytelling and creativity for the MCU, but fans hope Marvel gets back on their feet and shines like the good old days.
